When Football Does More: What we learned from Premier League Foundations
I hope this email finds you unsure about what day of the week it is, with full hearts and bellies.
Ah! That time of the year when we can’t really tell what day it is, and every day is just today. Something between Christmas and New Year’s, when nothing really happens.
I’m back in the summer, and my soul is happy again. Resting a bit, working a bit, taking some time to reflect on the past year, and dreaming of the new one ahead. Since I still haven’t found the inspiration to write the end-of-year post I wanted to write, I thought I’d gift you the list I know you love — plus some good material to keep you entertained during the holiday break (or lunch break, if you’re working. You’ve got this!)
Here are some of my favourite things to follow, watch, read, and look at lately. Enjoy!
Art & such
✂️ The Goal Frames Instagram account is so good. The R9 collage might be my favourite.
🎨 dancimmermann’s work is incredible.
🖼️ sarfo emmanuel annor, a photographer from Ghana whose photos should truly be hanging on the Louvre.
👏🏽 I love finding and sharing the work of Brazilian artists, and gabrieldiogo.ilustra doesn’t disappoint.
9️⃣ jeoanjoao: another great artist, another R9 portrait.
😍 I want this Djavan + Seleção shirt so bad.
✨ Slowprojects’ things are also beautiful to look at.
Campaigns
🚺 Using empty seats to raise awareness about gender violence.
📱 I really enjoyed this Google Pixel x Arsenal piece (and now I want to go to Bilbao.)
🇳🇬 When Villarreal taught their fans how to correctly pronounce the new player’s name.
💡 Southampton F.C.’s excellent marketing case.
🥹 These sweet Christmas cards created by kids in different projects implemented by my friends (and clients 💚) at Fútbol Más España.

Miscellaneous
📚 Starting off with a bit of self-promotion, we recently launched +Bernat FC’s account. Follow and stay tuned — good stuff coming up.
🖋️ Letters of Note is one of my favourite Instagram accounts to follow, and this has to be one of the best letters they’ve posted.
📷 nomadic_lens_’s photography is top-notch.
👌🏽 estadiocommunale IG for those who are into fashion + football.
📖 Pitch Invasion, Karen Dobres’ book and journey as a Director at Lewes FC.
🇧🇷 For Portuguese speakers, Falha de Cobertura (probably the funniest football show) and Por onde Andrey (impeccable storytelling and aesthetics) are my current favourite things to watch.
🙂↕️ glorioussport, a very cool women’s sports account.
💜 designfc_org is an org combining creativity and impact in sport.
🤳🏿 I love fizvancasso’s content and stories.
💥 bia.football.club is a fun collective celebrating the love for the game. I wish I lived closer so I could attend their in-person events.
🎙️ FIFPRO’s podcast. I’ve shared a couple of these episodes here before, and I really enjoy the conversations they have. Jackson Irvine’s interview is a great place to start.
😂 This is completely beside the point, but this Danish team’s FT graphics make me smile every time I see them. Apparently, slut means “end” in Danish.
What’s the good stuff you’ve been enjoying lately? Reply to this email or leave a comment; I love discovering new things through you.
And if The Good Football has been good company for you this year, feel free to pass it along to someone who might enjoy it too.
Wishing you all a great start to 2026, and thank you for the company in 2025. 🤍
