Happy Friday!
Let's start in full honesty: I couldn't finish the post I had planned for this week. I chose quite a complex topic, and it has been equally complex to get to the quality of the content I want to share. Sigh.
But soon, there will be an edition in your inbox discussing and reflecting on anti-racism campaigns in football—perhaps next week?
Well, for now, here is another edition of the beloved The Good Stuff series. If this is your first one, here you will find a list of my current favorite football things. I recommend checking the previous editions, too: Vol. I, Vol. II, and Vol. III.
🥇 My top favorite thing from these past few months has been meeting, connecting, and exchanging with some great people I am meeting through this platform and beyond. It's been encouraging, refreshing, and inspiring to learn about the different faces and journeys behind the screens that share a common goal of making football better. Don't hesitate to reach out if you want to connect, too!
👌 VERSUS excellent news and analysis content.
🗞️ Reading
's newsletter .📷 Susana's photos. Her feed is immaculate.
👏🏿 This fantastic article, published on L’Ultimo Uomo, which reflects on racism on and off the pitch in Italy. Hit the translate button if you, like me, have not completed your Italian Duolingo tasks today, and appreciate this read.
⚽ The
community. Thanks to for the great initiative!💙 The growing number of clubs offering sensory rooms to make the matchday experience better for fans with autism. This Newcastle video is a great example.
🤤 Can't get over the aesthetics of Athens Kallithea FC.
🧤 I keep thinking about this post and how this has always been a dream job of mine.
🌎 This epic jersey.
♻️ The Sustainability Huddle platform. It's been great to follow the discussions there and connect with fellow football fans who also happen to like to care for the planet.
🗣️ Following Marvin Sordell's content on LinkedIn, which ranges from creativity to marketing, mental health, impact, and more.
🤯 I mentioned
in the last edition, but then recently came across this video. I am now also fascinated by his process.🥲 This campaign announcing Bari and Kappa's new partnership. Have you also bought into the Italian football nostalgia/renaissance? I'm sold.
🌟 This jersey. The Football Gal has outdone herself this time.
In other news and before I go,
I recently started using the Threads feature here on Substack to test it out and find out if it could be a good way of having nice debates and conversations. You can take a look and send your comments here. Suggestions for thread topics are welcome, too!
You can now also become a paid subscriber to The Good Football! I will soon be creating more in-depth content and analysis that require a longer time commitment and working on other resources that will be available for paid members.
I'm truly excited to see where The Good Football will go and take us with it.
If you like it, make sure to share it with someone else. See you next time!
